11 valuable bacterial cultures plus inulin
Nupure probaflor contains 11 selected strains of lactic acid bacteria and bifidobacteria that naturally colonise the human intestine. Nupure probaflor contains at least 20 billion CFU at the end of shelf life.
In addition, each capsule contains 30 mg inulin. This dietary fibre, which is naturally obtained from chicory, is not metabolised by humans. If it reaches the intestine undigested, it can serve as food for bacteria.
The capsule shell is enteric-coated and reliably protects the bacteria during the passage through the stomach.
Quality by conviction
We want to be able to stand fully behind all our products. That is why we produce in Denmark in compliance with the strictest European regulations. We only use scientifically tested ingredients.
Nupure probaflor is therefore free from unnecessary additives and contains neither lactose nor gluten.

Study situation
Below you can find some excerpts on intestinal bacteria from scientific articles
From “Probiotics: how should they be defined?” by S. Salminen, A. Ouwehand, Y. Benno, Y. K Lee
"Probiotics are microbial cell preparations or components of microbial cells that have a positive effect on the health and well-being of the host."
From “Probiotics, prebiotics, and synbiotics--approaching a definition” by J. Schrezenmeir , M. de Vrese:
"Probiotics refer to so-called "friendly", non-pathogenic bacterial or yeast microbiota that are intended to benefit the host by altering the microflora through implantation or colonisation."
From “Probiotics and prebiotics: microflora management for improved gut health” by Roy Fuller und Glenn R. Gibson:
"There is evidence of activity of probiotics against a variety of intestinal pathogens. Nevertheless, the mechanisms of action are poorly defined. However, it can be suspected that one or more of the following possible effects are at play:
- Competition for nutrients
- Secretion of antimicrobial substances
- Lowering the pH value in the intestine
- Blocking adhesion sites
- Virulence suppression
- Blocking of toxin receptor sites
- Immunostimulation (local and systemic)
- Suppression of toxin production"
From “Probiotics for the prevention of pediatric antibiotic‐associated diarrhea” by Qin Guo, Joshua Z Goldenberg, Claire Humphrey, Regina El Dib und Bradley C Johnston:
"Probiotics are administered both prophylactically and therapeutically to alter mucosal, epithelial, gut and systemic immune activity in ways that may benefit human health. Probiotics have been reported to improve microbial balance in the intestinal tract and show both antibacterial and immunoregulatory effects in humans. Probiotics commonly administered in randomised controlled trials of AAD are: Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus bulgaris, Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Bifidobacteria bifidum, Bifidobacteria longum, Streptococcus thermophilus, Saccharomyces boulardii and Clostridium butyicum."
Tropical Life Sciences Research, August 2016: "One of the best known health effects of probiotics is the prevention and alleviation of intestinal diseases by improving the immune system. On the other hand, the improvement of stress-related psychiatric disorders such as anxiety and depression through the modulation of the gut-brain axis by probiotics has also further underlined the importance of probiotics."
European Journal of Clinical Nutrition, January 2019: "Taking probiotics can improve the immune system, gastrointestinal tract and female reproductive system in healthy adults."
ISRN Nutrition, January 2013: "There is scientific evidence to support the inclusion of probiotics in the diet as a means of deriving health benefits. This evidence appears to be sufficient in terms of preventing and treating certain conditions, while for others it is merely promising or even controversial. The best documented effects include intestinal diseases such as lactose intolerance, antibiotic-associated diarrhoea and infectious diarrhoea, as well as allergies, and evidence is accumulating for their potential role in several other diseases."
Nutrients, September 2017: "Probiotic microorganisms are considered to have a high therapeutic potential, e.g. in obesity, insulin resistance syndrome, type 2 diabetes and non-alcoholic hepatic steatosis. It also appears that probiotics may be helpful in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome, enteritis, bacterial infections and various gastrointestinal disorders and diarrhoea. Probiotic microorganisms are also effective in alleviating lactose intolerance and treating atopic dermatitis."

Plus inulin
In addition, nupure probaflor contains the dietary fibre inulin from chicory.
Intake
Take one capsule daily, unchewed, before breakfast with plenty of liquid. In order to achieve a rapid stomach passage, nupure probaflor should be taken about 10- 20 minutes before breakfast. Nupure probaflor is expressly adapted to the intestinal flora of adults and must not be taken by children.

Special protection through special packaging
The survival of the bacteria contained in probiotics is crucial. In order to achieve optimal development of the microorganisms, the survival rate must be as high as possible. To achieve this, the bacteria must be carefully preserved and stored.
By so-called freeze-drying, water is withdrawn from the active bacteria, which practically stops their metabolism. When they come into contact with water again, they recover to become active organisms capable of reproducing.
Nupure probaflor contains 20 billion CFU (colony forming units) per capsule. To ensure this high amount of live cultures compared to similar products, nupure probaflor is packaged in the absence of air. This ensures the delivery of a product protected from oxygen and moisture.
Moisture protection even after opening
To protect the capsules from moisture even after opening, we use so-called Activ-Vial cans. These are equipped with a special lining that immediately absorbs penetrating moisture. This increases the survival time of the intestinal bacteria.
To ensure the longest possible shelf life and a good survival rate of the bacteria, the product should always be stored protected from light, cool and dry, even after purchase.
Important notes
The product should always be stored out of the reach of children.
Do not exceed the recommended daily intake stated.
Food supplements are not intended as a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Do not take during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

>FAQ
What can disturb the natural intestinal flora?
Taking antibiotics often leads to a partial or even complete destruction of one's own intestinal flora. But other factors such as stress, poor nutrition or even psychological problems can also disrupt the intestinal flora and promote faulty colonisation by unwanted microorganisms.
What happens when the intestinal flora is disturbed?
If the immune system is weak or if the balance of bacteria is upset in some other way, such as through poor nutrition, health problems can arise, especially due to an excessive proliferation of species of the yeast fungus Candida. Intestinal inhabitants that are helpful under normal circumstances can then trigger inflammatory reactions or form unpleasant gases, leading to a variety of digestive problems. In addition, the immune system can also be further weakened.
Why does nupure probaflor contain inulin?
Inulin is a dietary fiber that cannot be digested by humans. It serves as a nutrient for important intestinal bacteria in the intestine.
Why do nupure products contain these particular strains of bacteria?
The strains contained in nupure probaflor are carefully selected to enable optimal interaction as well as the broadest possible spectrum.
Lactobacillus
Lactobacilli are lactic acid bacteria that occur naturally in the intestine where they break down sugar molecules.
Bifidobacterium
Bifidobacteria digest glucose via lactic acid fermentation. By breaking down large sugar molecules, they facilitate absorption via the intestine from food.
Both species produce acids such as lactic acid during their metabolic processes. This lowers the pH value in the intestine and thus protects against many pathogenic microorganisms, which are usually less well adapted to acidic environments.
Streptococcus thermophilus
This lactic acid bacterium can digest lactose and sucrose (household sugar). In this process, it produces large amounts of the enzyme lactase, which is used for the prevention of lactose intolerance.
Is the product suitable for children?
No. Nupure probaflor is explicitly adapted to the adult intestinal flora, which is different from that of children. For children from the age of three, we have a specially developed probiotic in our range.
Should I store the probiotic in the refrigerator?
Nupure probaflor does not need to be stored in the refrigerator. However, if the outside temperature is very high, you can store nupure probaflor in the refrigerator. Make sure that the can is tightly closed to prevent moisture from penetrating.
Does the product contain lactose?
No, the product is free from lactose.
Is the product free from genetic engineering (GMO free)?
Yes, nupure probaflor is GMO-free, i.e. free from genetically modified organisms.
Are the capsules enteric-coated?
Yes, the capsule shell is enteric-coated and ensures release in the intestinal tract.
